Description
The Infant-Toddler Teacher is responsible for leading a classroom of children ages 0-3, working collaboratively with a co-teacher to create a nurturing and engaging environment. This role focuses on fostering positive social interactions, cognitive development, and school readiness while working closely with families and colleagues to support each child's individual growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement a child-centered curriculum that fosters curiosity, exploration, and holistic development.
- Create a nurturing, responsive environment that supports social-emotional growth and engagement.
- Observe, assess, and individualize learning using anecdotal notes, screenings, and developmental plans, including IEPs and referrals.
- Supervise all classroom activities, field trips, and outdoor play to ensure safety and meaningful participation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant classroom environment that meets safety and licensing standards.
- Build strong family partnerships through home visits, conferences, and collaboration with family services staff.
- Promote parent involvement and support learning at home through regular communication and engagement.
- Participate in reflective coaching, self-assessment, and professional development to improve practice.
- Accurately maintain all required documentation, including attendance, assessments, and reports.

Schedule:
- 8-hour shift: Monday to Friday
Qualifications
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Minimum: Infant/Toddler CDA
- Preferred: Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of center-based experience with infants and toddlers required.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Ability to travel locally or long-distance up to 10% for work-related functions.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and engaging in child-friendly activities.
- Ability to respond quickly in case of an emergency.
- Work in a noisy, fast-paced environment with exposure to cleaning and sanitizing agents.
