  • Supervise Family Advocates, providing guidance and support.
  • Deliver ongoing training on eligibility, recruitment, selection, enrollment, and attendance standards.
  • Implement quality control procedures to monitor service delivery to Head Start families.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance at the center level.
  • Monitor child and family data in the agency’s database and develop tracking systems for reporting and analysis.
  • Conduct regular monitoring to ensure compliance with licensing and performance standards.
  • Analyze data and prepare reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually) for leadership.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, families, and the public.
  • Meet regularly with the Assistant Head Start Director to review departmental progress.
  • Provide coverage for Family Advocates and Intake Workers as needed.
  • Manage multiple projects and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet departmental goals.
  • Conduct interviews, update job descriptions, and participate in staff selection.
  • Provide performance feedback and conduct evaluations; address deficiencies using corrective discipline procedures.
  • Uphold organizational policies, Head Start standards, Indiana licensing regulations, and labor agreements.

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift: Monday to Friday
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Family and Child Development, Social Work, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with diverse, low-income families.
  • Supervisory experience required; experience with evidence-based strategies to improve child and family outcomes preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel locally and long-distance up to 75% for work-related meetings and functions.
