Responsibilities
- Offer confidential emotional support and crisis intervention to survivors of sexual assault, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Assist clients in understanding their rights, options, and available services, including medical, legal, and counseling resources.
- Coordinate with external agencies such as law enforcement, healthcare providers, and legal entities to facilitate comprehensive care for clients.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions while respecting confidentiality protocols.
- Educate community members about sexual assault prevention, awareness initiatives, and available support programs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop tailored support plans that meet each survivor’s unique needs.
Requirements
- Experience in client advocacy, social services, or related fields within the context of trauma or crisis intervention is a plus.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills—empathetic listening, clear articulation, and culturally sensitive interaction are essential.
- Knowledge of the legal systems related to sexual assault services is highly desirable.
- Ability to analyze situations quickly and provide appropriate guidance or escalate issues as needed.
- Background in customer service or community outreach within the fields of health or social services is advantageous. Job Hours: Monday through Friday 8AM to 5PM; After hour work is required every other week. And this position takes Call.
Pay: $34,000.00 - $38,000.00 per year
