Job description:
Provides evaluations, assessment and diagnoses for the purpose of prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications. Provides medication assistance treatment (MAT) services to clients with substance use disorders, including low threshold buprenorphine. Consults with collaborating psychiatrist and counseling/other staff for treatment planning and crisis management. Maintains electronic client case records according to regulatory and agency defined standards. Provides coverage for other prescribers as necessary.
Current licensure in NYS as Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant with prescribing authority. Current DEA certification. Prefer experience in outpatient clinic serving clients diagnosed with mental health or chemical addiction NPI eligible. Eight- hour MATE training or equivalent required upon time of hire.
**Physician’s Assistant must have approved waiver in place.
