What are the responsibilities and job description for the Athletic Director position at Family Christian Center School?
FCCS is a Pre-K through 12th grade accredited Christian school. Its mission is to develop students in mind, body, and spirit to honor God through excellence in academics, athletics, and biblical integration in a safe, and caring environment.
Main responsibilities include providing leadership for the development and supervision of the athletic program in accordance with the vision of Family Christian Center School. The A.D. will be responsible for the general operations of the FCCS athletic program, and sports teams, including developing, organizing, and coordinating all sport programs allowing for athletic opportunities for students in a K-12th Christian environment. Summary of duties include::
- A person of integrity and godly character focused on the spiritual and physical development of students.
- Effective leadership, supervisory, communication and management skills
- Knowledgable of athletic policies and regulations
- Strong communication and relationship skills
- Ability to keep parents and students informed on athletic information and opportunities
- Coordinate transportation for athletic teams
- Develop new and needed sport activities and programs.
- Supervise and recommend purchase and maintenance of athletic equipment and facilities.
- Able to develop sponsorships for school athletic needs
- Ensure compliance with league policies.
- Track student academic and behavioral eligibility
- Coordinate with coaches on team travel, game scheduling and practice sessions.
- Prepare and present reports on team performance and needs for improvement.
- Address student, parent, and school concerns pertaining to the effective operation of the athletic program.
- Observe coaches and student practices and attend athletic competitions
