Family and Children’s Association (FCA) is seeking a Respite Worker to deliver individual and group respite and rehabilitative services to children diagnosed with a mental health disorder. Responsibilities
- Deliver in-person respite services both on-site and in community-based settings to support the development and application of the child’s skills in natural environments.
- Facilitate hands-on, task-oriented activities tailored to the individual needs and goals of each child.
- Accurately document each session and related communications through detailed progress notes.
- Ensure timely submission of all documentation in accordance with funding requirements and the agency’s Compliance Plan.
- Provide and record services using a strength-based, family-centered approach that promotes empowerment and collaboration.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior experience working with children with special needs is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of community resources and support services.
- Possession of a valid New York State driver’s license.
- Ability to conduct home visits as required.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and documentation systems.
