What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian, Multi-facility position at Family & Children's Aid?
POSITION SUMMARY:
Custodian, Multi-facility will be based out of our Waterbury, CT location. Keeps offices, common areas and bathrooms in pristine and orderly condition in assigned Family & Children’s Aid facilities in the following Connecticut locations: Waterbury, Torrington, Shelton, Bridgeport and New Britain. An agency car will be provided for working hours but must be picked up and returned to an FCA site each day. Five days a week, schedule can be determined upon hire.
Responsibilities include typical custodial working including:
· Vacuuming
· Cleaning offices, kitchens, bathroom and common areas.
· Empty all trash and garbage containers.
· Ensure cleaning equipment is maintained and in good working order.
· Follows standard operating procedures (SOPs).
· Performs all other reasonable duties, as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
· Previous experience in a custodial role highly desired.
QUALIFICATIONS/OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
· Valid driver’s license.
· Ability to drive an agency vehicle
· Able to work with minimal supervision.
· Able to get along well with others.
· High attention to detail.
· Ability to pass background checks and pre-employment drug screening
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Able to frequently lift/push/pull objects up to fifty (50) pounds in weight.
· Able to sit, stand, bend, squat and walk about facilities.
· Able to walk/stand a minimum of eight (8) hours per day.
