Program Director for Foster Care & Permanency Programs

Job Overview

Family Care Services is a non-profit human services agency working with children in foster care and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are looking for an individual to be the Program Director of our Foster Care and Permanency Programs. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in child welfare, particularly within foster care, permanency and SWAN services. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with proven management skills, capable of overseeing program development, staff supervision, and community engagement. The Program Director will ensure that services are delivered effectively, compliantly, and with a focus on improving outcomes for children our local communities. Responsibilities

• Insures training of subordinates.
• Quality management of the programs.
• Distributes and assures balance of assigned work.
• Be available to subordinates and respond by phone/email.
• Insure compliance for all subordinates with applicable regulations, program/service descriptions, guidelines, policies, procedures, practices, and directives.
• Completes supervision meetings with subordinates.
• Coordinates and assists with referral duty.
• Coordinates all inspections for the programs.
• Maintains compliance standards by routine chart audits.
• Develops training plans for Resource Parents.
• Completes incident/risk management duties.
• Provides program improvement strategies and assists with implementation.
• Provides initiatives to insure success of the program capacity by recruiting, advertising, and public speaking.
• Attends meetings at other agencies regarding both caseload and program matters.
• Is a representative of the agency at meetings and conferences.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Organized

• Good clinical skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Good public speaking skills.
• Must pass background checks.

Education and Experience:

• Master’s degree in a human services field
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
