Title: Site Coordinator
Location: FCN Orchard Administrative Office
City: Bellingham, WA
Position: Full-time, non-exempt (hourly), Monday-Friday 7:00am-2:30pm
Compensation: The full wage scale is $21.00 - $29.37 per hour. Placement within the wage range is determined by the candidate’s relevant experience.

Job Summary
The Site Coordinator is responsible for the daily operations of the Care Management including general administrative duties. This position supports staff in providing the best quality care for our patients while adhering to company policies and procedures.
Essential Job Functions
- Participate in the daily functions of the department as needed including but not limited to phone support, medical records, and provider schedule support.
- Schedule follow-up appointments and labs, and coordinate with clinics for referrals and imaging ordering.
- Support patient discharge process by setting up follow-up appointments and send discharge summary notes to the Care Management.
- Accurately verify demographic and insurance information into the EMR.
- Screen EMR work queues to support Clinical Home Team (CHT) department submissions to the Patient Accounts Department (PAD).
- Audit charts for coding accuracy when needed or alert PAD.
- Work applicable reports.
- Communicate and implement coding/billing changes (CPT, ICD9/10, ABN, etc.) appropriately.
- Regularly attend meetings with the PAD site representative and Care Management team.
- Procure and maintain office equipment and supplies as directed by manager.
- Regularly communicate pertinent information to management and staff.
- Additional duties as assigned, including ongoing administrative support for the Centralized New Patient Scheduling and Clinical Services.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Knowledge of medical practice or similar office operations and functions.
- Ability to accurately perform detailed work, (i.e plan, multitask, organize and prioritize work).
- Competency in EMR systems.
- Ability to establish good employee relations, including conflict resolution.
- High level of discernment and confidentiality (i.e. HIPAA, proprietary information, etc.).
- Ability to work as part of a team; model a positive work ethic and customer friendly relations.
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency working with MS Word, Excel, and Databases.
- Ability to comprehend and communicate information accurately and clearly (verbally and in writing, in person and via phone) with patients, all levels of personnel, and other individuals and groups.
- Ability to proactively develop and refine workflows and efficiencies with manager approval.
Education & Experience
- High School diploma or GED, or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience.
- Experience in a medical office or related field preferred.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
Performing the duties of this job requires ability to: stand; walk; sit; climb stairs; use hand to finger coordination, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities include: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.
