What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Nursing - Hospice position at Family Care Home Health and Hospice?
The Clinical Director is responsible for the overall direction of hospice clinical services. The Clinical Director establishes, implements and evaluates goals and objectives for hospice services that meet and promote the standards of quality and contribute tot he total organization and philosophy.
Responsibility:
- Coordinates all direct and indirect patient care and helps personnel assess and implement caregiver plan.
- Ensures the safe delivery of services and maintains patient records and statistics in strict compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
- Hires, evaluates, and terminates staff, and conducts annual clinician performance evaluations.
- Provides guidance to clinical supervisors to help manage clinical teams effectively.
- Develops orientation programs for new personnel and implements ongoing in-service and continuing education programs.
- Assists the Executive Director/Administrator with budget administration and interprets operational indicators to predict census changes and manage staffing levels.
- Evaluates organizational performance via productivity tracking, quarterly/annual reviews, and Quality Assessment Performance Improvement (QAPI) programs.
