Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (PRN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in speech and language therapy, with experience working with diverse populations including pediatric and geriatric patients. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapy sessions both in-person and via telehealth platforms. The Speech-Language Pathologist will collaborate closely with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance communication abilities and improve quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive speech and language evaluations to identify communication disorders across various age groups.
• Develop individualized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each patient’s needs, including early intervention strategies for pediatric populations.
• Implement evidence-based therapy techniques to improve speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing functions.
• Collaborate effectively with patients’ families and caregivers to ensure understanding of treatment goals and promote active participation in therapy.
• Document patient progress accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Adapt therapy methods for telehealth delivery when appropriate, ensuring continuity of care remotely.
• Work within multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans for patients with speech impairments or disabilities across settings such as home health, schools or clinics.

Experience

• Proven experience working with early intervention programs.
• Demonstrated expertise in speech-language pathology plan implementation for diverse populations including geriatric patients.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to speech and swallowing functions.
• Experience conducting comprehensive assessments and interpreting medical terminology related to communication disorders.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and delivering remote speech therapy sessions effectively.
• Prior work with individuals with disabilities or speech impairments in clinical or educational settings is highly desirable.
• Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic patient care across various environments such as schools or home health settings.

Pay: $45.00 - $54.00 per hour
