Occupational Therapist

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will work with patients of various ages and backgrounds, helping them develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working. You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create individualized care plans that address the specific needs of each patient.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and social needs.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at enhancing patients' functional abilities.
• Provide therapeutic interventions in various settings including acute care, home health, and outpatient facilities.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment processes and strategies for improvement.
• Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing evaluations.
• Assist in early intervention programs for children with developmental delays.
• Support geriatric patients in maintaining their independence through tailored therapeutic activities.

Skills

• Proficiency in occupational health practices.
• Experience working with geriatrics, pediatrics, and in acute care settings.
• Knowledge of speech therapy techniques is a plus.
• Familiarity with ICU protocols and patient care standards.
• Strong ability to assist patients in developing daily living skills.
• Competence in creating effective care plans based on individual assessments.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases efficiently.
