What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Transporter position at Family and Children's Association?
The Opportunity
Do you want a career where you can make a difference in the lives of people within the community by helping them access services? The Driver will be responsible for transporting individuals to Family & Children's Association Certified Community Behavioral Health Center for treatment services. The Driver assists with coordinating transportation for clients to attend appointments and using a company van to transport individuals to the centers after being discharged from the hospital. The position includes helping oversee and support the agency food pantries.
Responsibilities
- Properly and safely transports individuals to FCA site locations for services.
- Demonstrates competence in transporting all specific age groups.
- Ensures the safe, timely and accurate transport of clients to their destination by assisting them with scheduling transportation services
- Communicate effectively with treatment team, other service providers, and clients.
- Enters notes and data into agency required charts and dashboards.
- Assists with maintaining and overseeing agency food pantries.
- Complies with regulatory agency standards, including federal and state regulations.
- Adheres to facility confidentiality and patient's rights policy as outlined in the facilities HIPPA policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- HS Diploma/ GED
- Valid NYS driver's license with a safe and responsible driving history
- Ability to drive agency vans
Compensation Information

Additional Information
- Salary: $23-24/Hour
- Schedule: (M-F), evening and weekend hours, as needed
- This role is full-time (35 hours/week), nonexempt
