What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinician position at Family and Children's Association?
The Opportunity
FCA is seeking a Clinician for our Families Healing Together Program, which provides short-term therapy for Suffolk County youth ages 7-18 as well as families.
The clinician will utilize screening and assessment tools to identify
at-risk youth and provide trauma-focused therapy services to youth and families.
Responsibilities
- Conduct screenings, assessments and individual, family and group counseling sessions to at-risk youth and families
- Maintain productivity and caseload targets
- Conduct initial intake and comprehensive assessments and collaborate with psychiatrist as needed on treatment recommendations
- Develop, implement and monitor treatment plans
- Collaborate with external referral sources and service providers to ensure coordination of care
- Complete and maintain client case records in a timely manner and in compliance with agency and other regulatory standards
- Provide community education on Adverse Childhood Experience (ACES)
- Assume other tasks, projects and responsibilities assigned to support the operations of the program
Qualifications
- Masters Degree and licensure required (LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LMHC)
- 2-5 years' experience providing counseling services.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills with MS Office required.

Salary: $28-32/Hour
Schedule: Full-Time, non-exempt
