- Lived experience raising a child with a mental and/or behavioral health diagnosis
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build trust and support families with empathy and respect
- Understanding of advocacy, service systems, and community resources
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to obtain/maintain required clearances (paid for by the agency):
- PA State Police
- FBI Clearance
- PA Child Abuse Clearance
- Provide supportive services and advocacy for parents/caregivers of participants receiving services
- Use personal lived experience to guide and mentor caregivers in daily life challenges
- Help families access services, navigate systems, and connect with community resources
- Teach advocacy skills to empower caregivers to support their family members
- Support caregivers in building confidence, relationships, and stability within the family unit
- Collaborate with caregivers using shared decision-making to develop goals and service plans
- Conduct outreach to build referral sources and expand program awareness
- Travel within Luzerne and Wyoming Counties, with occasional out-of-state travel as needed
- Maintain flexibility with work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required
- Perform additional duties related to services under the awarded grant
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and maintain safety at all times
- Ability to meet the physical demands required to perform essential job functions
