ABC Education Coordinator @ El Dorado
LOCATION:EL DORADO, AR
Position Summary Assist with the administration, supervision, and coordination of early childhood education and child development services for children and families. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist with planning, developing, and administering the early childhood education and child development service areas ensuring an integrated and comprehensive system of services for children and their families. Assist with curriculum development that meets both state and federal guidelines. Observe and monitor classroom activities and children’s records; review and analyze data on child outcomes. Mentor, coach and train educational staff. Maintain records and reporting systems, including content area plans, schedules, timelines, policies and procedures for early childhood education and child development in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards, ABC guidelines, and other applicable laws and regulations. Coordinate with staff responsible for other content areas to ensure ongoing assessment of the quality of services provided. Collaborate with community partners and service providers to ensure quality services are provided to children and families. Provide training and guidance to staff, parents, and the community on a variety of pertinent topics in the area of early childhood education and child development issues. Assist in planning and preparing special events or activities. Represent FACT, Inc. by participating in community collaborations and organizations. Qualifications General Have and maintain a valid Driver’s license and vehicle insurance. Have an initial health examination. Pass state Criminal Background Check, Central Registry Check, and/or FBI Background Check if applicable. Knowledge and Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents; ability to respond to sensitive inquiries and complaints; ability to write grants, reports and correspondence; ability to effectively present information to parents, staff, and the community. Ability to exercise independent discretion and judgement to define issues, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and resolve problems.
