Job Purpose
The function of this position is to verify the accuracy of all products being compounded and mixed prior to being bottled. This includes, but is not limited to random checking, and documentation recording. This position reports directly to the Quality Control Manager and interacts with supervisors and leads to verify the accuracy of orders being completed for the next stage.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Verifying all equipment is calibrated correctly prior to starting verification checks.
- Conduct ATP testing per SSOP and line clearance.
- Ensures correct batch #’s and info, etc… are maintained on all drums, barrels, bags, etc…
- Ensuring that all raw materials being staged for compounding are correct per the formulation documentation, and that only raw materials for the current batch are staged in the compounding area.
- Records and checks M #’s per ingredient.
- Ensures compounding tech(s) sign and verify BPR (batch production record) per ingredient(s) added.
- Follow good documentation practices on all documentation.
- Logs & scans documentation into database.
- Ensure the mixing area is clean between batches.
- Checks mixing forms for accuracy, compares mixing samples with previous, and verifies match. Signs off on mixing documentation.
- Verify machine operators pulled mixed samples.
- Logs & scans documentation into database.
- Enters product details into spreadsheet for electronic retention.
- Files and scans completed paperwork after the production run is complete for mixing. This is done to ensure that the job jacket can move on to the next stage.
- Updating job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and regular training.
