Responsibilities

• Safely operate box trucks or personal vehicles for delivery routes, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
• Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary.
• Execute efficient route driving to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining safe driving practices at all times.
• Interact professionally with customers during delivery, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns courteously.
• Use mobile devices to navigate routes, update delivery statuses, and communicate with dispatch teams.
• Follow safe lifting practices during manual handling of packages, especially when moving heavy or bulky items.
• Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including signatures and proof of delivery, while ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience or experience in commercial driving preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or commercial trucks is highly desirable.
• Proven delivery driver experience with a strong understanding of route planning and traffic regulations.
• Ability to manually handle packages safely, including lifting heavy items and operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts if required.
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus; however, training will be provided if necessary.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, safety procedures, and DOT regulations related to weight handling and workplace safety.
• Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation and communication during deliveries.
