Brief Summary of purpose:
- Lead for Telecommunication Architecture and Support
- Acts as Team Lead for the administration and maintenance of FCHP’s Telecommunications infrastructure
- Lead for diagnosing and troubleshooting complex network related issues
- Acts as Lead for the administration and maintenance for communications circuits.
- Primary contact for Carriers and communications service providers
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Liaison to communication carriers, hosting and collocation companies
- Architecture, Design implementation and Support of the following:
- Mobile and WLAN services
- Virtual Private Networks
- Perimeter Service Devices (Firewalls, IPS/IDS)
- Horizontal cable plant for multiple facilities including Voice, Data and Video
- Application and Network based load balancers
- Network Attached Storage
- Network performance review and tuning
- Collaborates closely with Information Security to implement network based defenses
- Collaborates with Storage administrator on design, monitoring and support fon Storage Area Network
- After hours on call support for connectivity and performance related issues.
