Activities Assistant – Memory Care Community
Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
Location: Portland, ME
Fallbrook Woods, a locally owned memory care community, is seeking a compassionate and creative Activities Assistant to join our Life Enrichment team. This role is hands-on and focused on making each day meaningful for our residents living with memory impairment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Life Enrichment Director in planning and leading daily activities.
- Engage residents in programs such as:
- Van outings and community trips
- Arts & crafts
- Fitness, sensory, and relaxation groups
- Seasonal events, holiday celebrations, and birthday parties
- Music programs, sing-alongs, and concerts
- Encourage participation and adapt activities to meet residents’ individual needs.
- Help create a supportive, fun, and engaging environment for residents.
Qualifications
- Valid Maine driver’s license (must be insurable).
- Compassionate, patient, and able to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong communication skills in English and ability to work independently.
- Creativity and enthusiasm for working with older adults.
Schedule
- Part-Time and Full-time: must be available every other weekend
- Some holidays and rotating weekends are required.
