Requirements / Qualifications
TRAINING/EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of college course work in nursing, physiology or related field; two (2) years of nursing experience; or any combination of training and/or experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities. Willing to take additional training to treat specific medical conditions to permit students to effectively participate in instruction.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATE: Current California registration as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse and First Aid/CPR Certificate.

Under general supervision of the District nurse and administration to provide a variety of specialized healthcare services for students who are health impaired and/or have specialized health care needs to administer first aid to students and staff members; to maintain health service information and records; and to do related work as required.
This position is open to all qualified candidates.
It is the policy of this District that employment will be offered to the successful candidate contingent upon satisfactory completion of a pre-employment physical, which includes a drug/alcohol-screening test and fingerprint clearance with the Department of Justice and FBI.
