Fallbrook Union Elementary School District (FUESD) is accepting applications for a part-time Elementary Teacher with a Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) focus for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a temporary, .40 FTE assignment for the 2026–2027 school year only.

DETAILS FOR THE 2026-2027PART-TIME ELEMENTARY TEACHER- VAPA FOCUS RECRUITMENT AND APPLICATION: APPLICATION DEADLINE: Until Filled LENGTH OF WORK YEAR: 183 Day School Year Calendar SALARY: 0.40 FTE, prorated based on the full-time (1.0 FTE) certificated teacher salary schedule. WORK SCHEDULE: Hours vary, up to 14 hours a week WORK SITE: Varies REQUIRED CREDENTIAL: Have a valid Clear or Level II California Teaching Credential and Authorization to teach English Language Learners. REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLYING: Multiple Subject Teacher Credential, preferably a passion for Music/Choir/Performing Arts REQUIRED ATTACHMENTS (PDF FORMAT REQUIRED) - Letter of introduction - Resume - Three (3) letters of recommendation (preferably within the last year and at least one from a direct supervisor) - Copy of credential or letter from the university stating anticipated credential type and issuance date - Copies of transcripts reflecting degree/major and any postgraduate coursework

Integrate digital tools, resources, and emerging technologies to enhance instruction and provide authentic learning experiences in VAPA disciplines. Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and external partners to align VAPA initiatives with school goals, participate in interdisciplinary projects, and share best practices. Prepare students to perform: singing, play musical instruments (e.g recorders, guitar, boomwhackers). Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to inquiry-based learning, experimentation, and exploration. Foster positive relationships with parents, families, and the broader community to promote awareness of performing arts education and advocate for its importance in preparing students for future success. VAPA Elementary Teacher position is a temporary assignment. Responsibilities: Providing performing arts instruction focused on music and theater. Providing instruction across school grade level classes to enhance their learning experiences.
