Requirements / Qualifications

TRAINING, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High School degree or recognized equivalent, and either an Associate’s Degree of Arts (AA) or have completed 48 college/university semester units or pass the FUESD proficiency test for this classification; experience working with people of various cultures; one (1) year of paid or volunteer experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is highly desirable, preferably including children with special needs, supplemented by courses in atypical students, psychology or guidance; or any combination of training and experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities. REQUIRED ATTACHMENTS: Certifications: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), and CPR Letter of Recommendation - 1 (within the last year and preferably from most recent employer) NCLB Compliance - Proof of degree/transcripts (if applicable) Resume After submitting a completed application there is a MANDATORY written test for this classification every Wednesday at 9 a.m. **YOU CANNOT BE CONSIDERED IF TESTING IS NOT COMPLETED.** Proficiency test is not required if you have an Associate or Bachelor degree; however, proof of degree must be scanned and submitted (uploaded and attached) to your application.

This position is open to all qualified candidates. CURRENT FUESD EMPLOYEES: You must also submit an online application, along with will all required documents. Under general supervision, to perform paraprofessional instructional activities in specialized programs; to provide an intensified learning experience for students in specialized programs; to provide a variety of clerical and supportive tasks for instructional personnel; to do related work as required. All applicants will be notified by email regarding their selection status. Please be sure to check your email as to the next step in the recruitment process. It is the policy of this District that employment will be offered to the successful candidate contingent upon satisfactory completion of a pre-placement physical, drug/alcohol screening test, fingerprint clearance with the Department of Justice and FBI, and a current verification of a negative T.B. test or chest x-ray.
