MLT/MT

The Medical Technologist (MT) / Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) plays a vital role in supporting patient diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care through the performance of accurate and timely laboratory testing. This position is responsible for conducting a wide range of clinical laboratory procedures, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety guidelines. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and committed to delivering reliable results that contribute to exceptional patient care.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, urinalysis, immunology, and blood bank.

• Collect, process, and analyze biological specimens following established protocols and safety standards.

• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with quality control requirements.

• Record, interpret, and report test results with precision and within required turnaround times.

• Perform and document quality control procedures; troubleshoot testing or equipment issues as needed.

• Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of laboratory activities, testing processes, and results.

• Comply with all infection control, safety, and laboratory regulatory standards, including CLIA, CAP, and OSHA.

• Participate in proficiency testing programs and engage in ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure and enhance technical competency.

• Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers, nursing staff, and fellow laboratory personnel to support high-quality diagnostic outcomes.

• Assist in training, orienting, and supporting new laboratory staff as required.

• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection when needed.

The average compensation for this position is $21.11- $30.89 an hour depending on the experience and level of certification
