- The teacher is responsible for providing an educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for academic, artistic, athletic, and social growth.
- Make knowledge accessible to all students
- Develop students' cognitive capacity and respect for learning
- Foster students' academic, artistic, athletic and social skills
- Incorporate the New Hampshire Frameworks and Grade Level Expectations into daily and long term planning.
- Plan for children with different learning styles and abilities
- Utilize data from standardized and teacher made assessments to drive instruction
- Exhibit a deep and accurate understanding of subject area knowledge
- Utilize research based teaching strategies
- Work collaboratively with specialists and colleagues to plan effective instruction for all children

- Prepare plans for substitute teachers

- Communicate with parents/guardians of all students as necessary

Qualifications:
Meets all qualifications and behavior standards as set by the State of New Hampshire
The minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
A valid New Hampshire Teacher Certificate OR statement of eligibility
Professional verification of successful classroom teacher performance and/or student teaching experience
Ability to work collaboratively to achieve the overall purposes of the school program
