1ST GRADE TEACHER
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate 1st Grade Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a supportive and engaging learning environment, fostering positive relationships with students, and effectively managing the classroom. The teacher will deliver a comprehensive curriculum with a strong focus on Math and English Language Arts (ELA).
Key Responsibilities:
Instruction and Curriculum Delivery:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet state and national standards.
- Teach Math and ELA curriculum, ensuring all students grasp essential concepts and skills.
- Utilize various instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Integrate technology and hands-on activities to enhance learning experiences.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse student needs and learning objectives.
- Encourage and promote critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
Student Relationships:
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Build strong, respectful, and supportive relationships with students.
- Encourage student participation and engagement in all classroom activities.
- Address individual student needs and provide appropriate support and interventions.
Classroom Management:
- Establish and maintain clear expectations for student behavior.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
- Address behavioral issues promptly and fairly, using positive reinforcement and conflict resolution techniques.
- Create a structured and organized classroom routine that promotes learning and minimizes disruptions.
Assessment and Evaluation:
- Regularly assess student progress through formative and summative assessments.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Use assessment data to inform instruction and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of student performance and development.
Collaboration and Professional Development:
