We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Service Technician to join our team at a leading manufacturing facility. The technician will also provide field service support, perform maintenance tasks, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Candidates with a background in industrial electrician work, HVAC/R, welding, or military technical service are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical components
- Troubleshoot and repair machinery using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills
- Operate and calibrate precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for work order management and documentation
- Conduct diagnostics on low voltage and high voltage electrical systems, including industrial electrician tasks
- Repair or replace components using welding (including
welding), HVAC/R systems, and other mechanical techniques - Support field service activities by traveling to customer sites for repairs or installations
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades in manufacturing processes
- Follow safety protocols related to high voltage, low voltage, and industrial maintenance environments
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings to facilitate repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety standards
Experience
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing facility environment
- Strong background working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems
- Experience with hydraulic systems, HVAC/R systems, welding (including
welding), and precision measurement tools - Knowledge of CMMS software for maintenance tracking and reporting
- Electrical experience with high voltage and low voltage systems; familiarity with ammeters and ohmmeters is preferred
- Industrial mechanic experience or related technical training is highly desirable
- Field service experience supporting customer operations is a plus
- Military technical training or experience in industrial electrician roles is advantageous
- Ability to read schematics, analyze system issues, and perform troubleshooting efficiently
- Excellent communication skills in English with a focus on customer service and teamwork
