Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying protective and decorative coatings to various industrial components and structures. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and familiarity with a variety of painting techniques and tools. The Industrial Painter will contribute to maintaining high-quality standards in our production processes, ensuring products meet safety and aesthetic specifications.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed
- Apply coatings using airless paint spraying, brushes, rollers, or other hand tools
- Operate power tools and equipment such as cranes, forklifts, and fabrication machinery safely
- Perform auto body repair and touch-up work when necessary
- Handle materials efficiently using proper materials handling techniques
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate application and coverage
- Conduct inspections to verify coating quality and adherence to specifications
- Maintain a clean work environment and ensure all safety protocols are followed during painting operations
- Assist with fabrication, assembly, or machining tasks as required within the manufacturing process
Requirements
- Proven experience in industrial painting, construction painting, or auto painting preferred
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, welding, and auto body repair techniques
- Familiarity with airless paint spraying equipment and techniques such as air-assisted or airless spray systems
- Mechanical knowledge including fabrication, machining, and materials handling skills
- Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and warehouse equipment safely (certification preferred)
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coating thicknesses and material quantities
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and warehouse operations is a plus
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to working with paints, chemicals, and heavy machinery
- Ability to work with precision measuring instruments and perform detailed inspections
