Pay: Starting at $20.46 – $25.00/hr (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 6:00 am - 2:00 pm

The Stanley G. Falk School, one of the largest Special Education Day Schools in New York State, is seeking a dependable Maintenance Worker to support daily facility operations.
In this role, you will perform a variety of building maintenance, repair, and groundskeeping tasks to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment for students and staff.
Responsibilities include:
-Perform general maintenance and repairs (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting)
-Complete work orders efficiently and on time
-Operate tools and equipment safely (power tools, hand tools, maintenance equipment)
-Perform snow removal (plowing, shoveling, salting) during winter months
-Maintain grounds (mowing, trimming, landscaping, mulching)
-Use ladders and scaffolding for building maintenance tasks
-Follow all safety procedures and regulations
-Maintain and store tools and equipment properly
-Work collaboratively with the maintenance team
-Interact professionally with staff, vendors, and contractors
Qualifications:
-Experience or basic knowledge in building maintenance or skilled trades (electrical, plumbing, carpentry)
-Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment and tools
-Valid New York State driver’s license required
-Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
-Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods
-Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
