Position: Municipal Bond Sales & Trading

Overview:
Falcon Square Capital is seeking a talented Municipal Bond Salesperson to join its sales and trading desk. Falcon Square Capital is a FINRA registered North Carolina based woman-owned boutique investment bank established in 2013. Our focus is fixed income trading and capital markets and we specialize in providing investment banking for municipal, corporate, and advisory clients, as well as institutional brokerage services for municipal bonds, taxable fixed income securities, corporate bonds, and US Government Agencies and Treasuries. We serve asset managers, registered investment advisors, insurance companies, bank portfolios, public clients, and corporations. Falcon Square’s Underwriting team has Co-Managed 300 new issue municipal transactions in the last 18 months.
The applicant must capitalize on their established customer relationships and be able to distribute both new issue and secondary taxable and tax-free municipal bonds to institutional investors. The applicant must be self-driven and have a proven track record of success. There are opportunities at Falcon Square Capital to cross-asset sell to their customers as well. This position is a regular, full-time opportunity with the option of flexible hybrid abilities based in our Raleigh, NC office or remote work.

Responsibilities:
Bring established customer relationships to Falcon Square Capital
Use established relationships to distribute taxable & tax-free municipal bonds to institutional investors
Develop new relationships with the intention of distributing municipal bonds
Market New Issue Underwritings
Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate technical market concepts concisely to team members and customers alike
Strong partnership and teambuilding skills
Knowledge of the municipal bond market landscape including credit, valuation, and emerging trends in the marketplace
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required
Over 3 years of municipal sales and trading experience
SIE, Series 7, Series 52, and Series 63 Licenses
Working knowledge of Excel & Bloomberg
Strong work ethic with an entrepreneurial mindset
Successful record of generating revenue
Self-driven
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
