Position Description: The Industrial Primer/Painter performs surface preparation, sandblasting, primer and paint application to ensure products meet quality, safety, and customer standards. This role monitors coating quality, maintains accurate QA/QC and production documentation, and follows all OSHA and company procedures. A strong focus on safety, teamwork, reliability, and continuous improvement is essential.

Duties/Responsibilities

· Perform sandblasting, painting, color application, and related finishing tasks as required.

· Manage daily paint and finishing operations to meet customer, quality, and company deadlines.

· Ensure coating quality by verifying surface preparation, application methods, and required millage.

· Conduct and maintain QA/QC documentation and records for finishing processes, audits, and training.

· Accurately document labor, production activity, and inventory in the ERP system.

· Safely set up, operate, and maintain assigned equipment; identify issues and recommend improvements.

· Collaborate with Team Lead and cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and issues.

· Provide timely feedback on conditions or problems impacting quality, safety, or schedules.

· Maintain clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant work areas; model and promote safe work practices.

· Manage consumables, tools, and waste generation, including proper logging and disposal coordination.

· Support purchasing decisions for paint, blasting, and finishing equipment and supplies.

· Continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and technical knowledge.

· Complete all initial and on-going company required trainings per OSHA and Falcon standards.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

· Follows all Falcon policies, procedures, compliance and security practices.

Required Skills/Abilities

· Must be a team player with individuals in same and all other departments.

· Proven ability to efficiently and effectively identify process improvements and correct quality issues.

· Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

· Effective verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.

· Excellent proven attendance record. Must meet Falcon Attendance Policy.

Qualifications

· High School Diploma or GED required.

· Must be able to pass respiratory fit and medical test, offer will be contingent upon doing so.

· Minimum of 2 years of industrial automotive priming/painting experience.

· Knowledge of paint production equipment (industrial coatings utilizing epoxy paint and urethane primer, Plural paint system with air valves and pressure pot technology).

Safety & Environmental

· Lifting, pushing, and pulling of equipment and parts up to 50 Ibs. for up to 10 hours per day.

· Standing, sitting, leaning, and squatting up to 10 hours per day, as required.

· Hearing protection up to 10 hours per day is required.

· Safety glasses up to 10 hours per day is required.

· All other PPE as required by position up to 10 hours per day.
