Senior Microsoft Cloud Architect
100% Remote | Full-Time
$140,000–$180,000 Base Salary
About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Microsoft Cloud Architect to support a key enterprise customer and take a leading role in the design, implementation, security, and ongoing optimization of its Microsoft cloud environment.
This is a hands-on architecture position, not a purely advisory or strategy-focused role. The successful candidate will combine high-level architectural expertise with the technical ability to implement, troubleshoot, and support solutions in live production environments.
The role will work extensively across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Purview, and Intune, helping the customer modernize its cloud environment while strengthening security, identity, endpoint management, governance, and operational resilience.
This position is 100% remote and is ideal for a senior Microsoft cloud professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges while serving as a trusted technical resource to a client.
What You'll Be Doing

Design secure, scalable enterprise solutions across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and Entra ID.
Lead architecture and technical execution for cloud modernization and migration initiatives.
Evaluate existing environments and identify opportunities to improve security, performance, resiliency, and manageability.

Apply recognized security and governance frameworks such as NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, and Microsoft security baselines.
Endpoint & Device Management
Architect and administer Microsoft Intune environments supporting Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices.
Design and implement Windows Autopilot and modern device enrollment strategies.
Manage device compliance policies, configuration profiles, application deployment, update rings, and endpoint security controls.
Troubleshoot complex device management and endpoint issues across medium-to-large enterprise environments.
Azure Infrastructure & Automation
Design Azure IaaS and PaaS solutions, including resilient infrastructure and disaster recovery strategies.
Architect networking environments utilizing VNets, VPNs, ExpressRoute, NSGs, Azure Firewall, and private connectivity.
Design and support Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365 environments.
Support hybrid environments involving Active Directory, Group Policy, Azure AD Connect, and legacy-to-cloud migrations.
Automate cloud administration and deployment through PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, ARM/Bicep, Terraform, or comparable infrastructure-as-code technologies.
What We're Looking For
8 years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, or cloud engineering.
5 years of hands-on experience working extensively with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise Microsoft cloud solutions in production environments.
Direct production experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Purview DLP, and Intune.

Candidates should be prepared to discuss specific examples of Microsoft cloud environments they have personally designed, deployed, migrated, or supported, including the scale of the environment, technical decisions made, challenges encountered, and measurable results achieved.
