Responsibilities
- Operate tractor-trailers with Automatic transmission OTR, adhering strictly to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Drive refrigerated and dry van trailers.
- Safely deliver freight to various locations, including warehouses, distribution centers, and customer sites while maintaining accurate delivery documentation
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle condition, report any issues promptly, and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Manage route driving schedules effectively to meet delivery deadlines while optimizing fuel efficiency and vehicle utilization
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, mileage, cargo details, and inspection reports for compliance purposes
Qualifications
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and experience operating tractor-trailers with Automatic transmission
- Proven truck driving experience
- Knowledge of refrigerated trailer handling.
- Strong understanding of load & unload procedures and safety protocols for freight handling
- Excellent route planning skills with the ability to adapt to changing schedules or road conditions
- Physical ability
- Two years experience
