Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our growing Nashville logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe handling, custom crating, and packaging of fabricated metal goods, picking orders, and delivering in the greater Nashville area.
The ideal candidate has a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and experience operating woodworking tools, building custom wooden crates, and managing warehouse inventory.
Key Responsibilities
Custom Crating: Measure, cut, and assemble custom wooden crates and pallets for shipping oversized or delicate goods.
Packaging & Wrapping: Secure items using heavy-duty strapping, shrink wrap, bubble wrap, and foam to prevent transit damage.
Warehouse Duties: Load and unload delivery trucks, safely transport materials using forklifts and pallet jacks, and keep the warehouse organized.
Inventory Control: Verify incoming/outgoing shipments, prepare shipping documents, and inspect goods for quality control.
Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety and OSHA protocols when operating power tools and lifting heavy material
Deliver & Pick up: Safely and efficiently make deliveries and pick ups in the greater Nashville area.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in crating, carpentry, or heavy-duty warehouse packing.
Proficiency with power tools (circular saws, nail guns, drills) and measuring tape.
Ability to safely lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs unassisted.
Forklift certification or prior experience operating a forklift and pallet jack is highly preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to read blueprints or packing specifications.
Valid driver's license
