What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Laborer position at Falcon Engineering Corporation?
Essential Job Duties:
- Cut and mark material
- Count items
- Inspect materials
- Package items
- Follow company quality standards, ISO standards, and AS standards as required.
- Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in manufacturing operations
- Maintains a clean job site: picks up all tools and equipment to eliminate potential hazards
- Follows daily procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientations and training
- Performs routine inspection and preventative maintenance on plant and /or assigned equipment and refers hazardous conditions, defects or needed repairs to the supervisor; cleans equipment
- Assists in cutting, moving, assemble, tacking, grinding, and operating equipment as required
- Willingness to operate any equipment as needed after training
- Maintains equipment through greasing, fueling and minor repairs
- General housekeeping duties as necessary
- Pin, mark, trim and do any required preparation work on raw material assemblies.
- Complete all required paperwork and record keeping.
- Assist as needed in the training of new operators.
- Read and interpret work specification sheets and drawings.
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
- Follows company rules and procedures.
- Complete work on schedule.
QUALIFICATION & OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED:
- Must be a US citizen or green card holder and able to acquire security clearance
Education:
- Able to read drawings and patterns
- High School Degree
Experience:
- Capable of using standard measuring tools.
- Capable of using various pieces of equipment.
Communications:
- Communicate with co-workers
- Be able to perform the physical demands of the job.
Work Environment: (*)The work environment for this job is a manufacturing shop floor, which is heated and air conditioned. The noise level is usually moderate due to sewing machines and traffic. This position requires frequent walking as well as sitting at a desk or sewing machine. Additionally, the position may require lifting and/or pulling moderate to heavy items.
Physical Demands: (*)The position requires that the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to fingers. The employee is required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 150 pounds. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 150 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, and color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
