HEATING OIL DELIVERY DRIVERS

Duties

• Safely operate delivery trucks, including manual transmission vehicles, to transport heating oil to residential and commercial customers.
• Load, unload, and secure fuel loads using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks when necessary.
• Follow designated routes to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Verify delivery addresses, inspect trucks before departure, and complete all required documentation accurately.
• Communicate with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route adjustments, or any issues encountered during routes.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly to ensure optimal truck performance.
• Assist with inventory management by checking fuel levels and ensuring proper handling of refrigerated trailers or tanker trucks when applicable.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission preferred.
• Proven truck driving experience, especially in commercial delivery settings involving freight or fuel transport.
• Ability to operate various types of trucks including flatbed, tanker, refrigerated trailer, dump truck, or roll-off truck as needed.
• Familiarity with load & unload procedures and safety protocols related to fuel delivery operations.
• Strong route driving skills with the ability to plan efficient delivery schedules.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment or fuel containers and perform repetitive loading/unloading tasks safely.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
