Position Summary
The Financial/Business Analyst is responsible for financial planning and analysis of the Company in a professional and knowledgeable manner. This position is responsible for analyzing financial statements and projecting future performance of the company. This position includes forecasting revenues and expenditures, as well as modeling capital structure and budgeting. Besides being responsible for keeping track of Company financial planning, analyzing the company performance, and creating forecasts and explaining variances, this position will also require some basic Quick Books data entry for expenses, monthly banking reconciliation and a few other minor bookkeeping tasks.
Responsibilities
Must be able to sit at a computer, read computer screens, and input information for long periods of time. Sharing office space is a possibility. Some light travel could be required. Must be able to move about office as needed. Must be able to lift up to 5 pounds.

Responsibilities
- Perform financial forecasting, reporting and operational metrics tracking
- Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support
- Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews
- Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements including cost control, Sales team KPI
- Work closely with accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Daily data entry, expense tracking and basic bookkeeping responsibilities.
- Banking monthly reconciliation and tracking.
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
- Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures
- Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization
- Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboard
- BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Proficient in Quick Books online
- Additional qualification (e.g., CPA or CFA or MBA) a plus
- 3-5 years of business finance or other relevant experience
- Strong quantitative and analytical competency
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
- Advanced knowledge of Excel is a must
- Excellent presentation skills to enable easy internal client education on principles of accounting
