What are the responsibilities and job description for the Store Manager – Three Wheels of Magic Experience Center position at Falco eMotors Inc.?
About us
Three Wheels of Magic gets people 70 and older cycling again. Our electric trikes make riding steady, safe, and easy. One ride, and our riders feel like they are 40 again.
Many of our riders have not been on a bike in 20 or 30 years. Some worry about balance. Some miss the freedom they used to have. A trike gives it back. They ride to the park, ride with their grandkids, and get outside every day. That is the magic.
Our motors and kits come from Falco eMotors Inc, a Harrisonburg company building electric drives since 2011. We are opening our first Experience Center in Harrisonburg. Riders 70 come in, sit on a trike, and take a gentle test ride. Our plan is to open many more centers across the US. The Store Manager we hire now will help build the playbook for all of them.
The role
You will run the Experience Center. You lead the team, welcome every rider 70 , and help each one find the joy of riding again.
We hire leaders from bike shops, retail stores, restaurants, auto service, and many other places. No trike experience is needed. We give you paid training on our products, test rides, and basic trike service. If you are new to leading a store, ask about starting as an Assistant Manager or Manager-in-Training.
What you'll do
Take care of customers – your number one job
- Welcome every rider 70 and their families. Learn what they miss and what they want to do again.
- Fit each rider to the right trike: seat height, step-through frame, speed settings.
- Run slow, patient, confidence-building test rides. Never rush anyone.
- Close sales, take deposits, and follow up with every lead by phone, not just email.
- Help with deliveries and home setup so riders are ready to go on day one.
Lead the team
- Recruit, hire, train, and schedule staff.
- Train your Assistant Manager to run the store when you are out.
- Coach your team and give regular feedback.
Run the store
- Open and close the store. Keep the showroom clean and inviting.
- Order and track trikes, parts, and accessories.
- Read the store's numbers. Hit sales and budget goals.
- Keep daily paperwork, sales records, and employee files.
- Check the store often. Make sure tools, displays, and demo trikes are safe and working.
Work hands-on with the team
- Assemble new trikes. Do tune-ups, flat repairs, and basic checks.
- Help install Falco electric conversion kits (we train you).
- Pitch in wherever the store needs you.
Grow the business
- Bring in riders 70 through senior centers, retirement communities, churches, and 55 clubs.
- Host group rides and "ride again" demo days.
- Work with adult children and grandchildren who shop for their parents.
- Share rider stories (with permission) on social media and in local papers.
- Share what works so we can repeat it at future centers.
What we're looking for
- A people person. You are warm, patient, and love helping older adults.
- A clear, calm speaker. You explain things simply and listen well.
- A natural leader. You have led a team, a shift, or a project before.
- Honest and dependable. You do what you say.
- Comfortable with basic tools, or eager to learn.
- Able to handle many tasks at once and adapt as we grow.
- Comfortable with a computer, a phone, and a point-of-sale system.
- Reliable transportation to and from the store.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Nice to have
- Experience serving seniors: senior living, home care, mobility or medical supply stores, or physical therapy offices.
- Retail, bike shop, or store management experience.
- Love of the outdoors and riding.
What you'll love
- Pay: $45,000 base, plus up to $5,000 bonus on store sales.
- Health, dental, and vision help: $300 a month, tax-free, toward the plans you choose.
- Retirement: 3% company match from day one.
- Paid time off: 10 days, plus 6 paid holidays.
- Free yearly tune-ups on your family's trikes.
- Employee discount on trikes, kits, and accessories.
- Paid training on our trikes, electric drives, and the Three Wheels of Magic way of running a store.
- Meaningful work. You help people 70 ride again and feel like they are 40.
