Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards such as TNELDS.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a positive, inclusive environment that encourages social-emotional development and cooperative behavior
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote literacy, math skills, and overall cognitive development
- Help with classroom organization, including preparing materials, setting up learning centers, and maintaining cleanliness
- Provide attentive toddler care and support children with special needs or disabilities, including those with autism or other developmental challenges
- Foster effective communication with children, parents, and team members to ensure a collaborative approach to each child's growth
- Support behavior management strategies that promote respectful interactions and emotional regulation among children
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is highly preferred
- HIgh school diploma/ equivalent mandatory
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and childhood education best practices
- Familiarity with special education techniques, behavior management strategies, and working with individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Experience in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored to preschool or toddler age groups
- Ability to manage classroom activities confidently while maintaining safety standards
- Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields is a plus but not mandatory

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $11.00 - $11.50 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
