Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Childcare Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development and learning.
- Support children’s emotional and social needs through positive behavior management and encouragement.
- Ensure the safety of children at all times by adhering to mandated reporting laws and health and safety protocols.
- Help with classroom organization, including setting up learning materials and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment.
- Provide attentive infant and toddler care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed.
- Engage children in play-based learning activities that foster creativity, motor skills, and cognitive development.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress and daily routines.
Experience
- Previous experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar settings.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Certification in first aid and pediatric first aid is highly preferred.
- Experience with special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors constructively.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team dedicated to nurturing young learners.

Pay: $11.00 - $11.50 per hour
