What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Ministry Director position at Faith Lutheran Church?
We are prayerfully seeking a passionate, relational and structured Family Ministry Director to oversee our NexGen initiatives from birth through high school.
This role focuses on discipling the next generation in a living relationship with Christ while equipping, encouraging and partnering with parents to lead their families spiritually at home.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee family-focused youth ministry programs, including coordinating activities for children and teens, and fostering family involvement in the church community.
- Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers; collaborate with parents and caregivers to support spiritual growth and healthy development.
- Plan, organize, and execute events and programs (retreats, workshops, mission activities) aligned with faith-based goals and community needs.
- Provide mentorship, counseling, while maintaining boundaries and safeguarding policies.
- Partner with Senior Pastor, Educators, and community organizations to enhance outreach, fundraising, and resource development.
Qualifications
- Experience leading youth and family ministries within a faith-based nonprofit or religious organization
- Proven ability to engage families with children, collaborate with parents, and support youth development
- Strong background in volunteer management, event planning, and outreach within a religious context
- Skills in teaching religious studies, mentoring, etc.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to $25,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 20.0 – 25.0 per week
