Purpose of the Position
To lead, grow, and support a vibrant ministry that proclaims the Gospel to middle school, high school, and college-aged youth, along with their families. This role nurtures faith formation, facilitates spiritual growth through God’s Word, and inspires young people and families to serve in their daily lives.
Qualifications
- Deep commitment to Christ and alignment with the mission of Faith Lutheran Church.
- Passion for developing meaningful relationships with youth and adults.
- Familiarity with modern tools of communication and a desire to use them effectively with youth and families.
- Solid understanding of Lutheran theology and willingness to teach and live by the Scriptures and Lutheran Confessions.
- Demonstrated spiritual maturity and a habit of regularly hearing and applying God’s Word.
- Passion for teaching and sharing the promises of forgiveness and salvation.
- Bachelor's degree.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Team-oriented with a sense of humor and a positive presence.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead & Grow Youth Ministry
- Dream, plan, and implement ministries for youth and families, including:
- High School Youth Group
- Confirmation program support
- Retreats, camps, mission trips, and service projects
- Fellowship events and faith development experiences
- Support Faith Formation
- Build Christ-centered relationships with youth and families.
- Communicate consistently and meaningfully using social media, email, visits, and engagement in extracurriculars.
- Teach Scripture in engaging and faithful ways.
- Team Collaboration & Leadership
- Work closely with Pastoral, CYF, and Support Staff to support a unified vision.
- Recruit, train, and support volunteers.
- Partner with ministry teams to ensure smooth transitions (Children’s Ministry → Confirmation → High School → Young Adult).
- Administrative & Strategic Planning
- Develop and manage youth ministry budgets.
- Lead or assist with fundraising efforts.
- Provide input for long-term vision and goal setting.
- Other Duties
- Pray regularly for students, families, and ministries.
- Fulfill other responsibilities as assigned by pastoral leadership.

Salary : $40,000 - $48,000
