FLC Children’s Pastor
Job Description:
Part Time (10-15 Hours Per Week)
Lifestyle Expectations:
Have a strong personal relationship with Christ. Which includes regular time talking with Him and reading His Word.
A heart and desire to grow spiritually and professionally through reading, listening to training resources, taking classes and attending conferences and seminars.
Set a Christ-like example in words and actions for the children and adults.
Primary Responsibilities:
To oversee the Children’s Ministry at FLC. This includes oversight for all volunteers in the children's ministry department.
Develop Sunday morning programming to reach each child on their level in fun and exciting ways.
Share the love of Jesus with the children of our church and community.
See every child actively growing in their faith.
To enlist, train, resource and encourage adult leadership to lead Sunday morning, and partner with parents to help them be involved in the spiritual formation of their child’s life.
Communication:
Participate in staff meetings, providing up-to-date information about ministry.
Keep the Senior Pastor thoroughly informed of staff accomplishments, concerns and future plans.
Maintain excellent relationships and open communication with all staff.
Pastoral Duties:
Participate in weekend worship programs and other FLC events.
Serve in outreach events and within other ministries as part of the FLC Team.
Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in Children/Family/Pastoral/Bible (can be in progress)
Experience leading or assistant leading in a church ministry setting (paid or volunteer)
