Overview
We are seeking an energetic Social Media Content Specialist to elevate our salons brand presence through content creation and strategic social media management. In this role, you will come into the salon and capture content for us and edit it. Also help the stylists capture the best content possible.
If you can coach the stylists on how to make the videos, then your job could just be editing eventually. But we need a Social Media Director. Someone who can come in and catch our vision and elevate it.
We would do a paid trial to start. You’d only need to come in as needed a few hours in the day twice a week or so. Until we see the content is performing well.
We have a fast-paced environment so there’s plenty of content to capture.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute creative content strategies tailored to various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Create engaging multimedia content such as graphics, videos, photography, and written posts using tools like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Manage daily social media activities using platforms like Hootsuite and Buffer to schedule posts, monitor engagement, and analyze performance metrics.
- Conduct social listening to monitor brand mentions, industry trends, and competitor activities to inform content planning.
- BONUS (not required) Optimize content for search engine optimization (SEO) by incorporating relevant keywords and hashtags to increase visibility.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing roles.
- Familiarity with social media management tools such as Hootsuite or Buffer.
- Knowledge of SEO principles, keyword research techniques, and social listening tools.
- Ability to produce high-quality visual content including photography and video editing.
- Excellent proofreading skills with attention to detail for all written content.
- Experience in public relations or branding initiatives is a plus.
