Position Overview
Faith in Action Community Education Services (F.A.C.E.S.) is seeking a Prevention Educator / Youth Engagement Specialist to provide substance use prevention education and youth development programming in school and community settings.
This role focuses on facilitating prevention curriculum, mentoring youth, and supporting community engagement initiatives that promote healthy decision-making and positive youth development.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate substance use prevention workshops in classrooms and youth group settings
- Implement youth development and life skills programming
- Provide mentorship and support to youth participants
- Assist with prevention outreach events, awareness campaigns, and community activities
- Track attendance, program participation, and service delivery data
- Collaborate with school staff and community partners to support program implementation
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health, Social Work, Psychology, Education, or a related field
- Experience working with youth, schools, or prevention programs
- Strong communication and youth engagement skills
Required Certification
- RADT (Registered Alcohol and Drug Technician) certification
- OR
- ability to obtain RADT certification within
- 30 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience delivering substance use prevention curriculum
- Background in youth mentorship, community outreach, or youth development programs
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
