Medical Assistant/Spanish Medical Interpreter

Faith Family Medical Center
Nashville, TN Full Time
POSTED ON 8/19/2026 CLOSED ON 9/7/2026

What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant/Spanish Medical Interpreter position at Faith Family Medical Center?

The primary responsibility of this position is to perform Medical Assistant duties in support of patient care — rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, completing clinical workups, assisting providers and nurses, maintaining patient flow, and supporting referrals and front office operations.

Because a meaningful portion of FFMC's patient population speaks Spanish as a primary language, this position also uses its Spanish-English language ability to assist with interpretation and translation for patients, providers, nurses, and staff during medical visits, telephone calls, patient education, referrals, and follow-up communication. Interpretation support is an important added capability of this role rather than its central function.

This position reports directly to the Clinic Director and is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
