Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Church Administrator to oversee the daily operations and administrative functions of our church community. Duties
- Coordinate and execute church events, meetings, and community outreach programs with precision and enthusiasm
- Supervise administrative staff and volunteers, providing training and development to foster a cohesive team environment
- Manage scheduling for church staff, volunteers, and facility use to optimize resources and minimize conflicts
- Oversee vendor management including contracts, payments, and service quality assurance for facilities and supplies
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records using QuickBooks or similar accounting software for donations, expenses, and payroll
- Handle human resources functions such as payroll processing, employee records management, and compliance with employment policies
- Oversee office operations including filing systems, front desk responsibilities, multi-line phone systems, and calendar management
- Ensure effective communication within the congregation through newsletters, announcements, and digital platforms
- Manage office supplies inventory and coordinate maintenance or repairs for church facilities
- Support medical office management tasks if applicable to health-related programs or clinics associated with the church
Requirements
- Proven experience in office management, administrative support or related roles within a church or nonprofit environment
- Strong event planning skills with the ability to organize multiple activities simultaneously
- Supervising experience with a focus on team management and staff development
- Proficiency in QuickBooks for bookkeeping and payroll processing
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail in scheduling, filing, and record-keeping
- Effective communication skills—both verbal and written—to engage with staff, congregation members, vendors, and community partners
- Experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts effectively
- Knowledge of human resources practices including payroll administration and employee onboarding
- Ability to handle clerical tasks efficiently while maintaining professionalism under pressure
- Familiarity with office technology such as multi-line phone systems, calendar management tools, and basic office equipment
- Experience in medical office management or healthcare-related administrative duties is a plus but not required
