Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role, located in Slidell, LA, for a dedicated Direct Care Worker. In this role, the Direct Care Worker will assist clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication reminders. Responsibilities include ensuring a safe and clean environment, monitoring client well-being, and providing companionship and support for individuals with diverse needs in independent living settings.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene maintenance
- Strong organizational skills for documenting client care and managing daily tasks
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for providing companionship and support
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures, cleanliness, and infection control
- Patience and empathy to work with clients with varying physical or developmental needs
- Physical ability to assist clients with mobility and perform other physical tasks as required
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification (e.g., CNA) is a plus
- Previous experience in caregiving or healthcare-related roles is preferred
- CPR and First Aid certifications are highly desirable
