We are seeking a compassionate Early Childhood Assistant Teacher who is passionate about supporting children’s development while sharing faith, love, and values each day.
The Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children. This role helps implement daily activities, supervises children, and promotes their social, emotional, and developmental growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Lead Teacher with lesson plans and classroom activities
- Supervise children during play, meals, and rest times
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom
- Support children’s social and emotional development
- Observe and report children’s progress and behavior
- Prepare materials and set up learning centers
- Communicate respectfully with children, staff, and families
- Follow all licensing, health, and safety regulations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (CDA or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred)
- Experience working with young children is a plus
- Basic understanding of child development
