Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance on BESS equipment and related electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose battery systems, inverters, transformers, switchgear, HVAC systems, and communication equipment.
- Conduct system inspections, testing, commissioning, and operational checks.
- Interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Monitor system performance and identify potential operational issues.
- Support commissioning and startup activities for new BESS installations.
- Complete maintenance reports, service documentation, and inspection records accurately and timely.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, LOTO, and company safety procedures.
- Coordinate with site managers, engineers, and external vendors as needed.
- Respond to emergency service calls and support outage restoration activities when required.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in proper working condition.
- Travel to project sites as required.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or electrical certification preferred.
- Prior experience in renewable energy, battery storage, solar, wind, industrial maintenance, or electrical systems preferred.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to safely work with high-voltage systems and follow electrical safety procedures.
- Familiarity with SCADA systems, PLCs, or monitoring platforms is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and electrical drawings.
- Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders when necessary.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- NFPA 70E familiarity
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Experience with utility-scale energy storage systems
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
